THERE is development in Tavua and it is good to see people investing in the town's economy.
These were the sentiments of Ba/Tavua special administrator Praveen Bala at the unveiling of a newly-renovated Meenoos branch in Tavua on Thursday. Mr Bala said he was pleased with the development and he urged shopowners to upgrade their services to meet public demand.
"We are here to assist in terms of development. And I also urge shop owners to start thinking about redoing their shops because as a result of the latest upgrade by Meenoos, there will be a lot of movement of interested consumers," he said.
"Some interested parties have also come forward with plans of having a new shopping complex with food courts and supermarkets and it is great for these parties to invest in Tavua."
