THE man accused of killing the mother of his four children in Tailevu in January early this year was told by the High Court in Suva to make the murder charge top priority than his other assault cases.
Sailasa Mociu appeared before High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo yesterday. Mr Mociu's lawer Iqbal Khan was not present in court yesterday but he had asked that his client's case be adjourned to August 27.
However, Mr Mociu informed the court that he had another matter pending before the Nadi Magistrates Court.
Justice Temo asked Mr Mociu to explain what other matter he had before the court.
He replied that he had another assault case to answer to which is scheduled to be heard in the Nadi Magistrate Court on August 27.
He told Mr Mociu that the murder case was important than his other cases.
The matter has been adjourned to August 27.
