THE Fiji Girl Guides Association plans to establish 50 new trainers next year.
Speaking during the closing of this year's national camp, association vice president Keleni Bola said Girl Guides was a movement that all primary school girls should join.
Mrs Bola said the programs fostered by the group ensured that girls grow up and become outstanding leaders, mothers and whatever role, life throws their way.
"Plans are underway to establish more leaders around the country and we aim at establishing 50 new trainers by the end of this camp," she said.
"The camp was a really good one and we salute our Northern branch for giving us and our students an experience that we will never forget. Everything proceeded as scheduled and there were no disturbances at all," she said.
Ms Bola added the wealth of knowledge gained through the camp will only empower the girls to become better women in the future.
The camp finished yesterday with a traditional camp fire.
The event was officially closed by former national commissioner Adi Sainimili Dyer.
