ASSEMBLIES of God Fiji general superintendent Reverend Pita Cili is challenging his senior pastors to live a life of example because the church was well positioned to help the nation turn the tide of social ills.
Speaking at the morning devotion on Thursday at the church's 38th Biennial General Conference in Nausori, Mr Cili said the senior pastors needed to lead the change.
"We can get more people to the kingdom of God," he said.
He said the emphasis was on internal cleansing and individual reflection before reaching out to the world.
"Firstly, they need to live the life desired by the Lord before they can lead others to the Lord. The deep silence reveals to us how much they have received."
Mr Cili applauded the support of the senior pastors for the adoption of the new organisational structure which was adopted earlier in the week.
