WITH the public becoming more health conscious, the demand for organic products is increasing, according to the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF).
The organisation's regional head, Jay Dayal, was present at the forum's conference in Bangkok, Thailand, where a presentation on biological farming captured the attention of investors from all over the world.
A presentation by Professor Guna Magesan, who's based in Fiji, showed methods of farming which reduced the use of fertilisers and many countries were looking to captialise on this.
Mr Dayal, who's also a Ba businessman, said they were holding discussions with the professor to see if biological farming pilot programs could start in Fiji.
"We are looking at the possibility of starting some trials and this can be very beneficial to the farmers of the country," he said.
