FLYING Fijian Leone Nakarawa has inked a two-year contract with Scotland club Glasgow Warriors.
The towering lock forward will join fellow Fijians Jerry Yanuyanutawa and nippy scrumhalf Nikola Matawalu in the RaboDirect Pro 12 competition.
The 25-year-old is among the new signings with Yanuyanutawa, Argentine Gabriel Ascarate and South African Tyrone Holmes for the 2013-14 season.
"I am very excited to have signed my first professional contract with Glasgow Warriors," he told the club website.
"This will be a new experience for me and I can't wait to get started."
Nakarawa has 19 caps under his belt.
He represented Fiji at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and was also part of the Fiji 7s team at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow last June.
Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said they had been following Nakarawa for quite some time.
"We have been tracking Leone for a long time and we're delighted that he's agreed to join us," Townsend said.
Nakarawa has already joined the club for its off-season training.
"I'm happy to be here and I'm looking forward to joining the squad for pre-season training.
"I've always wanted to play rugby outside of Fiji and now I have that opportunity.
"I could have moved to England or France last year but stayed in Fiji.
"I am determined to make the most of this move."
"I've heard a lot about Glasgow from Niko and he talks very highly of the club. This will be a new experience for me and I can't wait to get started."
