PLAYING rugby against Fijian players is one experience that puts a smile on the face of Jimmy Aliklik.
The Class Seven student of Natabua Primary School hails from Nauru and represented Lautoka in the under-12 grade at this year's Milo Kaji rugby competition.
He said he had never touched a rugby ball back home.
However, after moving to Natabua this year, he was introduced to the sport by his family. He resides with his father's uncle in Lautoka.
"I enjoy the game very much," he told Times Sport.
"I don't play rugby in Nauru but only when I came to Fiji, then I decided to play rugby."
He plays hooker for his team.
Coached by Inia Ratumaiyale, Aliklik had a lot of courage to smash his oppositions.
Ratumaiyale said he was proud with the performance of Aliklik.
"He is not afraid to run the ball or tackle," Ratumaiyale said.
"He is very tough, a good player taking into account that he did not play rugby back at home in Nauru."
Aliklik hopes to help his side win their remaining matches today.
