TRAINING and playing together as team prepared the girls better for the tough competition.
This was expressed by Taraivini Qiokata, coach for the Lautoka U10 team in the Fiji Primary Schools Netball Tournament at Churchill Park yesterday.
In an interview with Times Sport, Qiokata said the team training was well organised and they had got through the first round of competition.
"Lautoka Maroons have been in good form and in our last game, we drew with Nadroga 4-4," she said.
"In the other matches, we lost to Northland 8-1 and won against Macuata 6-5.
"The girls were excellent and have been really obedient.
"Teamwork made them successful and we are aiming to win and are waiting for our next game.
"Weather was not a factor today because we are from the West and we are used to the heat."
The team will continue with their remaining games today.
