THE Fiji Football Association has praised the standard of soccer displayed by the teams during the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants.
Fiji FA boss Rajesh Patel said the Super Eight format was really interesting in the tournaments.
He said the fans loved the 90-minute football.
"Now in the tournaments none of the teams can be taken lightly," Patel said.
"We saw that until the last pool games, teams could still qualify for the semi-finals. District teams have improved and this brings the development of Fiji FA that we have been visioning to come to fruitfulness now.
"Many people had been thinking that Nadroga would go out of the tournament but they proved otherwise.
"The side has worked hard. Their victory over Suva proves that home-grown talent has what it takes to win matches."
Meanwhile, the parent body recorded a profit of $140,845 during the 2013 Vodafone Fiji FACT. A total of $5281.68 was given to each district as part of their share.
