THE 38th Biennial Conference of the Assemblies of God Church in Fiji is expected to bring together members from 14 church divisions across the country.
With the theme "Anointed to Serve", members of the church from the four divisions have begun gathering at the conference venue preparing for the first day of meeting today.
Head of the AOG church, Reverend Pita Cili, is confident the meeting, which begins today, will be a success as they have been praying and fasting about the event.
"God cannot do anything above our expectations, so when you expect God in his presence, come praying and believing to receive great things from him," he said.
For the smooth running of the conference, a team has been set up to attend to media queries.
In an interview with its media team, Mr Cili said the conference this year was expected to be one of the church's largest in years.
"We, the servants of God come together, have meetings and discuss things to be done," he said.
"We believe that the people, the pastors and the workers in the field who are anointed to serve become better servants for the Lord in the future and will go back and serve the Lord with more anointing and more enthusiasm."
The conference began yesterday with a welcome service at the Central Christian Centre church in Nausori, the conference venue.
The meeting starts today and will continue until Friday.
