NATABUA High School under-14 side created history winning the Deans title for the first time yesterday.
The western school thumped Queen Victoria School 23-3 in the opening final of the Coca-Cola Zero Deans competition at the ANZ Stadium.
Natabua headed into the game as underdogs but defied all odds to upset QVS.
Meanwhile in the U15 grade, inspirational skipper Ratu Kinivuai Veitata was the hero for the Queen Victoria School under-15 side scoring all points to hand the Victorians the Deans trophy.
Veitata kicked a penalty and scored the winning try as QVS beat traditional rival Ratu Kadavulevu School 8-5.
Both teams were locked nil-all at the breather.
Veitata converted a penalty before RKS replied with a try to lead 5-3.
A QVS player was sent to the sin-bin in the dying stages of the game before breakaway Veitata crossed the white-wash.
