FIJIAN cricketers Sekove Ravoka and Maciu Gauna continue to impress at the Eastern Asia Pacific quad series in Brisbane, Australia this week.
Cricket Fiji high performance manager Joe Rika was particularly pleased with Ravoka who has been a regular in the regional team's matches throughout the week.
"Hopefully all goes well for him and that he gets selected into the EAP cricket team to play in the Australian Country Cricket Championships," Rika said in a statement.
Rika said he was also grateful to see Gauna get some game time during the tournament.
"We are proud of his achievement as well, and hopefully he will get more opportunities," he said."
Ravoka, who hails from Lomanikoro, Rewa, plays for the EAP team while Gauna is based at the West Illawarra Cricket Club.
"Players selected to play for the regional side in the Australian Country Cricket championships will get the chance to compete against top states in Australia," the statement said.
Meanwhile Cricket Fiji has launched a special ministry theme 'Christ for Jesus' as part of the National Youth Celebrations to help revive the sport in Levuka.
The launching was officiated by Minster for Youth and Sports Viliame Naupoto at Nasau Park, Levuka.
