THE Fiji Police Force and nightclub owners in Suva are focused on a mission and that is to make this year's Vodafone Hibiscus Festival incident-free.
About 14 nightclub owners met with Totogo Police Station commanding officer Senior Superintendent Tevita Waqabaca and his team to discuss issues and map a plan for their mission for the city of Suva.
"This is the time the city needs your support," SSP Waqabaca told them.
"The police and nightclub owners need to work together.
"You need to look after your customers because they bring money into the business. Our duty is to look after them together."
He challenged the owners and their staff members to change their mind-set and attitude towards their customers.
SSP Waqabaca also reminded them to be strict with their closing hours.
"We need to work together to make the Hibiscus Festival safe, this is the time for a change.
"We must take ownership of Suva City and make this festival an incident-free event."
