THE case of a 27-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his schoolteacher girlfriend in Ba has been transferred to the High Court in Lautoka.
The man, charged with one count of act to cause grievous bodily harm, appeared before magistrate Mosese Naivalu in Ba.
According to police prosecutors, the accused did not make a plea nor did he have legal representation.
Mr Naivalu also agreed with prosecution's application to refuse bail for the accused.
He has been remanded in custody until the case is recalled on August 30.
According to police, the man from Suva wanted to see his partner who was a teacher at a secondary school in Ba but she refused after she was allegedly threatened by the suspect.
Police revealed the man waited until school ended about 4pm on Thursday afternoon before he entered the school premises and allegedly stabbed the victim on the hand with a kitchen knife.
