TONIGHT is expected to be a night of dance, music and cheer as the much-awaited Hibiscus Festival 2013 kicks off.
This year's festival is being launched with a dance and music concert at Albert Park. The concert is aimed at raising awareness against piracy and supporting local talent.
In a statement issued by the Hibiscus Events Group Inc. (HEGI) yesterday, the organisation said it was a strong advocate for local music.
"The Hibiscus Events Group remains firm on its stand in supporting our local musicians in their fight against piracy," the statement read.
"The events group has always ensured that it provided the platform to showcase our many amazing talents by having them perform at the various stages provided at the grounds during the festival."
Some of the mentioned stage outlets include the talent show Kaila! Star Search, which allows local singers and dancers to perform and compete for prizes and exposure on a national stage.
Tonight, crowds will hear from guest speakers such as Laisa Vulakoro, Seru Serevi, Malumu ni Tobu and many more.
