STUDENTS of Marist Brothers High School gave the crowd something to cheer about during their annual concert at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva on Tuesday night.
Themed 'Island Night', the young men expressed their different versions of what the theme meant through performances, plays and singing.
Fane Vola, who watched the concert said the performances were "mind-blowing".
"The school island night displayed different cultural dances of their confederacies — Kubuna, Tovata and Burebasaga. The old gym was on fire while students danced their heart away to impress us," Mrs Vola said.
"There were different colours that depicted the different confederacies worn by the students. It was also a night for families who enjoyed the different items performed by their children."
Some students also performed traditional items from the province of Ra, while others told stories through dances about the survival of their ancestors.
