Thief told to apologise
AN 18-year-old man who entered the Raiwaqa Health Centre and walked away with mobile phones belonging to a nurse stationed at the health centre has been given another chance by the Magistrates Court in Suva to seek the complainant's forgiveness. Leone Delai appeared before magistrate Alipate Mataitini, where he pleaded guilty to one count of theft. He was handed a one year suspended sentence. The court heard that Delai on August 6 this year stole a Nokia mobile phone valued at $128 and a Samsung touchscreen mobile phone valued at $1999, both of which were recovered.
