Veivatuloa Parish

THE Fiji Bitter Veivatuloa Parish netball tournament will be held on August 2 and 3 at Thomson Park in Navua. Only the first 24 teams and mixed teams also will be accommodated. THE Lomary Netball tournament will be held at the school grounds on August 16-17. There will be three categories: Open, Mixed and Masters Veteran women's category (mothers over 40 years old). The first 20 open teams, first 6 Mixed and first 3 Masters Veteran teams will be accommodated with a registration fee of $100. Winner for the open grade $500, runner-up $250 and losing semi-finalists $100 each; winner for Mixed category $400, runner-up $200, winner for Masters $200 and runner-up $100. Netball Fiji

THE Fiji National Netball Championships will be held on August 23-24 at the National Netball Centre, Laucala Bay, Suva. Associations are advised Islands, Minor and Major division competitions will be played on the two days. Associations that have not confirmed their participation should contact the administrator for Fiji Netball Joey on 3100638, 9509355 or the secretary Alini Sovu on 9929848. Affiliation fees, player/official levy and tournament fee need to be paid by no later than August 9. AGM will be held on August 3 at FASANOC House from 10am-12noon.

Navosa

FIJI Pacific Limited Tako Lavo Netball and Volleyball tournament will be held at Nasivikoso Village grounds on July 23-24 at 10am. Registration for netball open women $100 with winner to get $1000, runner-up $500 and losing semi-finalists $250, best player $50. For open men's, registration is $50 per team and winner $500, runner-up $200, losing semi-finalists $100, best player $50. Volleyball registration is $70 per team and winner gets $600 and runner-up $300 for first 24 teams only. All registration to be paid to Ropate Sigadrodro 9896067 by July 20 and no late entries will be accepted. There will also be the Tako Lavo Shield for the best dressed team and many more. RUGBY

Cunningham 7s

THE Cunningham Rugby 7s tournament will be held on Saturday at the Sukanaivalu grounds from 1pm. Registration closes at 8pm on Thursday, only first eight teams will be considered. Entry fee is $30 per team. Contact Uraia Koroi 9223296.

St Joseph Naililili 7s

THIS tournament will be held at the Saint Joseph Parish compound at Naililili in Rewa on August 28-31. The tournament will include under-19 rugby and netball. There will be also mixed netball and volleyball competition during the tournament. $3000 will be at stake for the main 32 rugby teams with the entry fees of $300. $1200 will be at stake for the 16 under-19 teams with the entry fees of $150. Other prizes will also be at stake right down to the bowl competition and best players. Accommodations will be provided and food will be sold. Burebasaga District 7s

THE Burebasaga District School bazaar 7s tournament will be held on Saturday August 17 at the school grounds in Rewa. Registration is $160. Winner gets $800. THE NewWorld Rebels Volleyball tournament will be held on July 27 at the Raiwaqa volleyball court. Affiliation fees $100 per team for the first 24 teams. The Lautoka Volleyball Association invites interested clubs for the new season, to our weekly off-season pocket tournaments around Lautoka.
