School hosts fun day

THE main aim of the Yat Sen Secondary School fun day was to get parents, teachers and children to build strong relationships.

Yat Sen green house vice president Shayne Brodie said the fun day was a way to give people the opportunity to get to know each other and know of the various activities that occur at Yat Sen.

"We have organised a lot of things for the students and parents this year," Mr Brodie said.

"The green house has even set up their own green grocery store where we sell all organic produce for those interested in buying organic goods.

"The reason why we sell organic produce is because we are from the green house and we wanted to sell something that can relate to our house colour."

He said it was the second time for them to set up a green grocery store during the fun day and a lot of people were quite interested in produce sold at the event.

"We have made it easy for people to just come and do their shopping here rather than disappearing off to the market.

"We hope that all the parents of the children get together and have fun because most of the time we do not get the chance to meet other parents."

He said the green house was organising a movie night which parents and children can enjoy.

Food, entertainment and fun activities were enjoyed by parents and children during the fun day.
