Battle in schools cricket

THE Suva Secondary Schools' Cricket Tournament is gaining momentum with some exciting matches in round two played this week.

In the boys competition held yesterday at Albert Park, Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) defeated Gospel High School by nine wickets.

Gospel batted first and were all out for 29 runs in the 13th over and in return RSMS reached the target hitting 31 runs in three overs.

Although the side lost no wickets, one player had to retire injured, resulting in a nine-wicket win for RSMS.

In the girls' competition which was held on Wednesday, Lomary Secondary One defeated DAV Girls while Lelean overcame Lomary Two.
