Ba coach blames mistakes in loss

MISTAKES in defence proved costly for Ba in their 1-3 loss to Nadi in the final of the Vodafone Fiji FACT yesterday.

Ba coach Yogendra Dutt expressed disappointment with how his boys controlled the fixture.

According to Dutt, they shouldn't have made those mistakes at this level.

"It was a tense match," Dutt said.

"Nadi had to play for something because they had not won in a long time.

"They had the advantage playing on their home ground. Congratulations to them."

"We gave the game away. We made mistakes and Nadi captalised on that."

Dutt said his boys failed to control things.

"It is not how we play at this level making mistakes that allows goals to be scored against us," Dutt said.

"It should not happen at this level.

"We have won this tournament many times. But winning the tournaments in Fiji is one of the most important aspects for the fans."

Ba has not won the Fiji FACT since 2010.
