Friday, June 14, 2013

SUGARCANE harvesting gangs in the West are preparing for the start of crush in two weeks.

Sugar Cane Growers Council acting CEO Sundresh Chetty said the memorandum of gang agreement forms were issued to all sectors, and cutters were holding annual general meetings as part of the normal pre-harvest process.

"I urge all gangs to submit MOGA forms to their respective field officers as soon as possible so that quotas can be assigned," he said.

Mr Chetty said State-funded upgrades for cane access roads had started.
