BOWLING: Winning start for Lal

Update: 6:27PM Ratish Lal made a winning start to the Pineapple Cup competition yesterday at the Suva Bowling Club.

Lal won 21-7 over Semesa Naiseruvati who is a top contender for the ANZ sponsored event.

Naiseruvati bounced back to win his second round match 21-4 over Australia David Harrison.

Close scores on wet greens saw Martin Fong lose both his games, 20-21 to Abdul Kalim and then to Peter Thaggard by the same score.

Competition continues tomorrow.
