HIGH Court judge Justice Salesi Temo yesterday told a man that he was fortunate he was not charged with an additional offence of attempted murder.
Josaia Koroivosa was charged and convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery, one count each of theft of motor vehicle and wrongful confinement.
He was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment yesterday.
The court heard that Koroivosa while being employed as a caddy at the Vatuwaqa golf course, with other accomplices, planned to rob the Dee Cees Bus company and needed a vehicle to transport them.
Koroivosa called a Kavitesh Krishant Lal who was driving the vehicle used in the robbery. Mr Lal was the complainant in the first three counts.
Koroivosa and his group then drove to the Dee Cees bus company's garage and stole a cash bag containing $26,820 which was supposed to be banked.
The money was not recovered.
