Fiji Golf CLub Ladies

THE Fiji Golf Club Ladies 4BBB competition sponsored by Shipping Services would be held today at the Vatuwaqa Golf Course. The event is a qualifying round for match play for the Ladies 4BBB Trophy. Registration at 12 midday and tee-off at 12.30pm.


Coaching Clinic

THE national netball head coach Unaisi Rokoura will host a coaching clinic on May 4 at FASANOC House and the National Netball Centre from 9am till 5pm. Clinic is open to all club coaches and teachers. Topics include planning a proper training session, learn basic netball skills, teach and execute skills, skill analysis, general conditioning, observes national team training. Registration will be at 8am on the day at FASANOC House. Participants will be required to bring along with them a water bottle, canvas shoes, training clothes and a hat. THE opening knockout tournament will be held on May 4th in two grades: open and under-15. Registration for open grade is $200 and U15 $100. An invitation also to veteran's and men's teams. FRU Coaching and Refereeing Courses

The Fiji Rugby Union Development Unit will be conducting the following the Level 1 and 2 Coaching Courses and Level 1 Referee course at the following dates and venues. All courses will begin from 8am to 5pm each day. 29- 30 April at Sigatoka -Nadroga/Navosa Rugby Union. 1- 2 May at NASA HPU Gym, Nadi -Nadi Rugby Union. 3 - 4 May at Lautoka Methodist Primary School


THERE will be open trials for the Fijiana team to the Rugby World Cup today at the Nasova grounds from 2pm. An invitation to all women who play other sports as well.

Kikau 7s

THE "Kikau House" Burebasaga District School 7s tournament will be held on May 3 and 4 at the school ground in Rewa. Competition will be for under 18 on Friday only and seniors on Saturday only. Registration for seniors is $170 and U18 is $150. Senior Cup winner gets $900 and runners-up $400. Under-18 winner $400. 16 teams for senior and eight teams for under-18 with payment of registration in full will be accommodated. Accepted forms of ID for under-18: FSSRU, Election ID, school monogram ID and valid tertiary ID. No birth certificates and passport photos will be accepted. THE Vanuakula Catholic Mission School will be holding 7-a-side rugby and netball tournament on May 10 and 11 at the school ground. The tournament will be called Vanuakula-Bula FM 7s and netball. In rugby 7s, first 40 teams will be accommodated. Entry fee is $200. Main prize is $2000 while the runner-up will get $1000. Consolation prizes for plate/bowl winners and runners up. In netball, 20 teams will be accommodated. Entry fee is $100. Winner gets $800, first runner-up $500, second runner-up $200 and third runner-up $100. THE Raven Sports Business House 5-a-side soccer competition will start on Monday June 3. Strictly for business house companies and government departments only. Good prizes in store from quarter-finals to finals, best dressed team, most entertaining team and most discipline team. Prizemoney for winners. Registration fee $150. Registration closes on May 26. Crime Prevention

THE Crime Prevention Volleyball Championship will be held at the Multi-Purpose courts in Lautoka from May 9 to May 11. Only the first 20 registered teams will be considered. Entry fee: $160. THE Marist Volleyball tournament will be held on June 27-29 in Suva. Registration fee is $310 for mens and $170 for womens. Registration closes on June 14.
