Update: 2:03PM ENERGY efficiency, sustainable development and renewable energy were some of the issues highlighted at the Energy Managers Workshop at the Holiday Inn in Suva today.

Permanent Secretary for Public Utilities Commander Francis Kean said he was happy to see representatives and energy managers of various government departments and ministries at the workshop.

"These representatives could play an important role in trying to conserve or promote the efficient use of energy," Commander Kean said.

"I would hope that you will motivate and stimulate others in your own offices to change their behavioural patterns to become energy savers and not energy wasters."

He said participants must encourage all to buy energy efficient products, live and work in energy efficient buildings and enjoy and energy efficient lifestyle.
