JOJI Ragamate and Metuisela Talebula will begin their campaign to gain a spot in the Fiji 7s squad for Moscow at the Blue Sugar Community Sevens today.

Staged at Churchill Park ground two in Lautoka, the one-day tournament will boast new and exciting youngsters hoping to catch the eye of scouts and national selectors and impress enough to book a seat to Russia.

Blue Sugar Rugby Club spokesman Mollie Fong said the tourney was not all about rugby but also about raising awareness about the less fortunate in society.

"We are asking everyone that has spare clothes or utensils to bring them to the ground. Allen Lockington, our president, is holding a drive where all these items will be collected and distributed to the most needy in society," he said.

The Blue Sugar Community Sevens kicks off at 9am.
