THE Pacific Islands Forum Ministerial Contact Group will hold its consultations with the Fijian government today on the progress Fiji has made in implementing the roadmap towards democratic elections in 2014.

During the visit, the group will meet the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and the Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

In a government statement released yesterday, Ratu Inoke said great effort had been achieved in the creation of a better Fiji for all. He said this was achieved through effective government reforms, creation of a safe law and order environment, rebuilding lost trust between the people and the government systems, and implementing much improved rural-urban connectivity through new and enhanced transport and communications network, and a much improved health and education facilities.
