Update: 11:22AM FIJI'S 2009 French championship-winning wing Samuela Naulu has been killed in a car crash.

According to French police the 31-year-old, who was playing for fifth division side Bergerac, lost control of his car in the early hours of the morning on Saturday and hit a tree some 20km south of Bergerac.

Naulu, who played for Fiji's Under-21 side, was switched to the wing from flanker on arriving at Perpignan in 2005 and was an impressive performer in their title winning season.

However, he left for Limoges a year later and after just a season there moved on to Bergerac.
