By ANA MADIGIBULA
Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Update: 11:24AM THREE members of a family died after their home was engulfed in flames at Nanuku settlement, Vatuwaqa, Suva, last night.

The remains of a woman and her daughter and son were removed from the charred remains of the house early this morning.

Police arrested the home owner and are questioning him.

Police believe the four-bedroom corrugated and timber house was set alight at about 11.25pm.

A neighbour heard screaming form the house and called for help.

Navnesh Kumar, who lives next door, said the fire spread quickly throughout the house, making it hard for the woman and her two children to escape.

Investigations are continuing.
