KAILA Star Search co-ordinator Savuto Vakadewavosa has expressed excitement with the number of young people coming forward to audition for the star search competition.
Around 200 aspiring stars turned up for the auditions with judges whittling that number down to 60.
"With each year our talents are increasing at a very rapid rate and also our standard has improved from the previous years," Mr Vakadewavosa said.
"We have seen new faces that have a lot of potential and are passionate about singing.
"This is a great platform for people to come out and showcase their talents."
He said the competition had seen a few stars who had come though it and gone on to better things.
"We have had singers like Ilisavani Cava who has participated in the Kaila Star Search and is now taking part in the X-Factor in Australia," he said.
