THE Tokatoka Resort's appeal to locals persuaded a young bride to choose the property as the venue for her wedding yesterday.
This decision allowed the resort to host its first wedding where Luse Naibosa Rainima was ferried across the resort pool by Fijian warriors, to join husband, Stuart Mark Tuck, at an altar created in the middle of the swimming area.
Mr Tuck is a businessman and the couple live in Nasoso.
"We looked at other properties but I wanted a place where my family would feel comfortable and relax and enjoy themselves. The atmosphere at Tokatoka provides that," she said.
Following traditional ceremonies, family and guests were treated to a lovo dinner and music by Nadi band, Divine.
