FORMER national sevens star Joji Ragamate has sent his well wishes to the Fiji 7s team in Hong Kong.
He said he was praying for the team and wanted them to retain the Hong Kong 7s title.
"I want to give my regards to the team," Ragamate said.
"They are always in my heart and in my prayers and I wish them all the best for the Hong Kong 7s. I will be cheering for them here at home and I just hope they do the nation proud."
Ragamate kicked four conversions to help his Wardens team win the MH Red Rock 7s tournament at Albert Park in Suva yesterday.
The playmaker was the main man who created chances for the Wardens in their 28-0 victory over the Botaira rugby club from Yasawa in the final.
He was also their kingpin in their 19-14 defeat of Police in the semi-finals while in the other semi, Boteria edged the under 19 Red Rock side 12-10.
Ragamate said the tournament was a good get-together for his boys who had not played since the Nawaka 7s tournament.
He said the final was one of the toughest he has played in and commended Botaira for their effort in the tournament.
They are an unknown team but they managed to reach the final and that is a big achievement for them.
"They gave us a tough time in the final but experience was one our side and I think that was what helped us," Ragamate said.
Tournament official Joe Usa said there should be more tournaments in the country to promote the sport.
