FIJIAN British soldier Jo Nayacavou is honoured to be part of the Scotland sevens make-up for the Hong Kong 7s tournament.

Despite failing to make the final 12-member team this weekend, the Navatuyaba man from Toga in Rewa says he is counting his days when he finally breaks into the team. The Doncaster Knights backrower said he would continue to strive for the best.

"I think I am honoured to be part of this Scotland team, you know it is the dream of every young Fijian rugby player to wear the Fiji jersey one day," the 27-year-old said.

"When we are young we watched those Fijian players who have played for Fiji and we want to do the same. But I thank God for this opportunity to allow me to be part of the Scotland team.

"Even though I did not make the team to Hong Kong, I believe the time will come when I will finally make the cut."
