EXPECT a cracker of a match today between Army and Moce I in the final of the Suva Cricket Association competition.
That was the comment made by association president Adriu Misiki when asked about the cup final today at Albert Park.
He said the HMT sponsored Army side and the main Moce side had a long standing rivalry and the match would be one not to be missed.
"It's the final of round two, so it will be the highlight of the day. A cracker of a match for sure," Misiki said.
He added the inclusion of national reps would boost both sides for the match.
"Army will have the services of Jikoi Kida Taravindar Singh, Kitione Tavo, Sevuloni Baba and Jone Seuvou.
"Moce would have players like Iliesa Navatu, Iniasi Cakacaka, Viliame Yabaki and some unknown players who have been consistent throughout the season."
Misiki said Army had history and experience on their side heading into the final while Moce had youth and valour.
"Army have been the champions of this competition for over three years now. They lost in round one but have bounced back and made it to the final of round two.
"As for Moce, they are a young and upcoming side that has never backed down against any opponents. In the semi-finals last week, they beat round one champions TKG Yadrana."
Meanwhile, Police faces Green Energy Oneata in the bowl final while Moce II takes on Westpac Sarafui in the plate final.
"These two games would also be interesting because the four teams are the top two in each of their competitions," Misiki said.
The bowl and plate final would be played at 8.30am while the cup final would start at 11.30am.
