Nai makes her mark

NAVATU Secondary fourth former Sereana Nai made her mark as one of the new track queen at the Savusavu Zone meet yesterday as she won the final of the 400 meters Intermediate girls event.

The Vunidogoloa native clocked a personal best (1minute: 41 seconds) saying that she gave thank to the lord for her achievement.

Nai said that she had been preparing well for the game and to get gold from the event was something that just made her day.

"I know that that there will be tough competition from my opponents but like they say the winner have the final say.

"My training did assist me a lot in my performance and I have my family and friends to thank for this achievement.

"I now set my eyes for this year's Coca-Cola Games and to try and improve on my training so that I can make my mark during the games."

Nai dedicated her win to her teachers, friends in school and her family saying that they had always helped her walk that extra mile.
