PM to contest 2014 election

Update: 9:43PM PRIME Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will stand in the 2014 general elections.

"I am on track for elections in September 2014 and I am confident of standing," Commodore Bainimarama said in a Ministry of Information statement.

Commodore Bainimarama said there was still ample time to form a political party with elections more than a year away.
