IT was an exciting day yesterday as students came in numbers to witness the entertainment and cultural displays at the Melanesian market day at the University of the South Pacific (USP).
The market day was part of the university's celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG).
The displays included cultural carvings, island print materials, homemade soaps and different dishes.
In an interview yesterday, politics student Jade Alyson said the market was one of the greatest displays of Pacific island heritage.
