A MENTION date has been set for a policeman charged with one count of destroying evidence and one count of receiving a corruption benefit.
Netani Seru is remanded in custody and will appear on April 4.
His case was called before Magistrate Chaitanya Lakshman in the Suva Magistrates Court.
Yesterday, Mr Lakshman had attended a workshop but a mention date was issued by the court clerk.
Mr Seru was arrested in June 2011 for allegedly destroying evidence kept at the Nabua Police Station as exhibits.
