LABASA residents should expect a list of exciting activities that have been planned for tomorrow as Fiji joins the world in the Earth Hour campaign.

The Department of Environment in conjunction with the Commissioner Northern's office, World Wide Fund for Nature and the Charan Jeath Singh Group of Companies will be holding activities on Saturday night and also during the day.

Divisional environment officer North Senimili Nakora is urging members of the public in Labasa Town to join them and their stakeholders for a mangrove planting program on the Labasa River bank.

Ms Nakora said the mangrove planting program would be held towards the Subrail Park side of the Labasa River as a commemoration of the Earth Hour celebrations this year.
