Update: 1:52PM MINISTER for Women Doctor Jiko Luveni this morning joined the women of Cakaudrove to celebrate International Women's Day.
Speaking to more than 500 women at the foreshore, Dr Luveni encouraged women to continue to develop their skills and make use of their God-given talents as they could generate good income for many.
"Government has increased our budget this year and it is up to us to utilise it wisely. We need to continue in our Christian belief as men are head of households and women and men need to share family development issues," Dr Luveni said.
Women travelled from as far as Naweni to be part of the annual celebration.
