Update: 1:47PM FOR the past six years, the women of Manavure Village in Savusavu have depended on their handicraft skills for financial support.
This morning, they were part of the International Women's Day celebration in the town of the Hidden Paradise where they displayed and sold their hand-made artefacts.
Group member Salaceva Lainiana said the handicraft business brought them good money.
"We supply the hotels and we have seen the demand increase which is a positive indicator for us," she said.
"It means that our handicraft work is becoming popular among our clients. We need that because most of us depend on it for our livelihoods."
Ms Lainiana said the women have also attended training to improve their skills.
