THE Ravinesh Kumar coached Fiji Under-20 side has been offered incentives to win the Oceania Football Confederation U20 playoffs.
The Fiji team kicks-off its campaign against Vanuatu at 2pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka today.
The national coaching staff opted to delay the naming of the starting line-up until just hours before the game.
Fiji Football Association vice president Tarunesh Reddy said the parent body had spent a lot of money on the team's preparation.
He said it was now time for the players to deliver.
Reddy said they would take each team as they came.
"The players have been promised rewards if they complete the mission," Reddy said.
"The squad has been in camp for more than three months and it has been a costly affair. The coaches have worked on building the combinations. The side played warm up matches against Ba, Lautoka and the touring Amicale FC team."
"The first match in any tournament is always tough. For us we have the home advantage."
"Having said that, we will need the support of the fans," he said.
