DEFENCE is an area that needs to be ironed out for the Fijiana rugby side as they prepare for the Womens Sevens World Series.
Yesterday, they played a warm-up match against the Harlequins rugby club, a mens side, in Suva.
Team coach Elenoa Kunatuba said she was happy with the hit-out but expressed concerns at her team's defence.
"We need more on our defence, especially in alignment, we need to align more quickly," she said.
Her side will play another friendly match today which would be their last as they leave the country early next week.
"We have identified our weaknesses, we need to move the ball out quickly because we had overlaps but couldn't make use of it," Kunatuba said
Meanwhile, the daughter of former national sevens team winger Etuate 'Honda' Gusuivalu, Josivini Gusuivalu, has been named captain of the team.
The Fijiana have been drawn with England, US and hosts China for the Guangzhou Women's Sevens on March 30 and 31.
