ALL Blacks legend Michael Jones says Fiji plays the purest style of the sevens game.
And he labels any New Zealand and Fiji affair at any HSBC Sevens World Series tournament as a class act.
Despite Fiji's 'bad days' on the sevens circuit of late, Jones still admires the style and flair of Fijian players in the abbreviated code.
He also said the clashes between Samoans and Fijians were always physical in a Pacific way.
"The flair the Fijians have and the way they play sevens rugby is just so pure. They are still the purest team in 7s despite the fact if they are having a bad day. The style and flair is the closest to playing sevens in a 7s heaven," he added.
"Sevens may be tough nowadays, but I still think the classic game is when New Zealand plays Fiji," Jones said.
