Update: 12:59PM PRIME Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has vowed 60,000 more Fijians will have access to the internet at more than 20 community telecentres around the country by the end of the year.

This, he said, would include 5000 students

"My government is connecting Fijians to the world as part of its commitment to deliver services to ordinary people everywhere in Fiji," he said while opening the Ba Methodist High School Telecentre today.

"They are no longer isolated, no longer starved of information. They are now empowered."
