Eagles land
THE USA Eagles have landed in Hong Kong for the Cathay Pacific HSBC Hong Kong Sevens tournament. Laced with players such as Carlin Isles — one of the fastest players in world rugby — the Eagles are out to stamp their mark after finishing as bowl runners-up last year.
Jamaican sprinters
EXPECT sprinters like Usain Bolt in the Jamaican rugby sevens team as they make their debut at the Hong Kong 7s this weekend. Jamaica is the 52nd nation to be part of the tournament since its inception in 1976. The Jamaicans will be hoping to be jamming on their debut year. They will compete in the 12-team pre-qualifier competition.
Serevi in HK
THE Sunday Morning Post had a picture of the legendary Waisale Serevi on its front page of the sports section. Serevi, who is in Hong Kong was conducting rugby clinics with young rugby players at Kings Park. He was joined by IRB all-time points scorer Ben Gollings and all-time try scorer Santiago Gomez Cora.
