PEOPLE waited patiently on rooftops just to catch a glimpse of the new Airbus that flew over Labasa Town yesterday morning.
The flight that was scheduled to fly over the friendly town at 10:40am got workers and keen shoppers out from their offices and supermarkets 15 minutes before arrival. With heads all turned up to the sky, people waved and cheered as the plane made a round over the town.
The A330-200 flew in from the mountain range at Tabia and headed towards town.
It made a round over the town down to Delailabasa and Wailevu area before turning back to town and made its way out of Labasa.
Students of Holy Family Primary and Saint Mary's Primary schools crowded the school lawn at recess to wave at the plane.
