THE Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League (FSSRL) made its verdict last night on the fighting incident that happened on Saturday during the Eastern conference of the Vodafone Cup competition.

But FSSRL secretary Biu Colati said they would inform the principals of the schools concerned first before releasing their ruling to the public.

"We deliberated on the issue but we have to follow the protocol whereby we have to inform the principals of the schools first before releasing the information to the media, "he said.

"We will pass the message to the principals in the morning (today)."

The incident happened during the Ratu Kadavulevu and Lelean Memorial school's under-19 clash at the Veiuto grounds.

The Lelean Memorial School reserve players and some fans reportedly joined the scuffle on field and referee had to abandon the game and award it to the RKS Eels which was leading 11-10 at the time.

Match commissioner Uraia Toribau said the Lelean players took the post pads and threatened the RKS players prompting security risks to those on the field.
