Monday, March 18, 2013

DESPITE the wet weather in the Western Division, more than 200 people crowded the first-ever Lautoka 'market grove' at Narara Parade yesterday.

Organiser Teresa Ali said the objective of the event was for the people of Lautoka to showcase their products at the market.

"This is the first of its kind to be held in Lautoka and we're excited with the response," she said.

Lautoka resident Clarissa Roxburgh said she earned more than $500 from the sale of clothes, shoes and baking supplies.

"It's a brilliant idea to have this kind of market sales," she said.
